2017 Top Bouquets: #5

It’s less than 20 degrees outside and my garden is covered in snow. I’ve ordered (too many) seeds and bulbs and am now waiting until spring arrives (45 days!!!). In the meantime, I’ve decided to countdown my top five bouquets of 2017.

#5 – Daffodils – February 23, 2017

The first bouquet of 2017 comes in at #5. I picked these beauties in February when it was still quite cold. This bouquet made me so happy because I knew gardening season was back. It’s not the loveliest of bouquets; it only had daffodils and they were just the traditional white and yellows, but the first bouquet every spring, or in this case late winter, makes my heart sing.

Garden Club Activity

Get the clubbies together, drink some mulled wine or a nice milk stout, and reminisce about your top five bouquets from 2017. If some clubbies didn’t make a bouquet, pick a month, see what blooms in your area, and plan ahead for the bouquet you’d like to make!

Suggested pairings:  Four Hands Chocolate Milk Stout from the STL, so good!
