September in Florida is still hot, like upper 80s daily and lots of humidity. It’s a good time to pause and rest before the fall gardening goes into full swing. I didn’t get as much time in the garden this September, but the time I did get was well spent. Most of my time was cleaning up the spring crops that were done and pulling up some of the dead flowers in the front. I planted some seeds and transplanted a few tomatoes and peppers I started last month. I also did a lot of hurricane prepping before I left on a trip to LA. This entailed bringing in all my tools and looking for potential projectiles to bring inside. Luckily for us, Ian headed further south. However, the southwest side of the state got hit pretty hard. You can donate to relief efforts here.
Here’s a smattering of garden photos from the past month.
