On March 11, a little more than a week before spring, this was the scene outside my window.

Luckily, the snow melted the same day and spring is indeed on the way! The first flowers bloomed before the snow on March 5th. The first flowers this year were not crocus, they were mini irises (which I forgot I planted) and hellebore.

My yellow crocus that was the first bloom of 2017 was almost ready.

Next time, I’ll update with the first cut flower arrangements of 2018.
